Vision
To educate and train the underprivileged women and children about social, cultural,and computer literacy
Suprabhat Mahila Mandal (SMM) is a women-run organization based in Pune, India. Our goal is to provide support and opportunities to underprivileged members of our community so that they can be empowered to achieve success in their personal and professional lives. We started operating in 2003 as an offshoot of Pratham which is one of the largest education-related non-governmental organizations in India.

Noting that individuals who are underprivileged have a range of needs, we take a holistic approach and meet them where they are. So, while educational support may be seen as the most effective form of assistance, sometimes individuals need support in order to be ready to access that. With this in mind, we also tend to their social, cultural, health, and financial needs.
We do this by working directly with women and children through our own school in Shindodi and
after-school programs. We also have ongoing projects that are supported by local corporations’
social responsibility initiatives.
