Special emphasis is placed on the study of Science, Mathematics, and English. The objective of this project is to help all children achieve their potential. To that end, we also try to identify promising students and provide them additional guidance. The total number of students served during 2015-2022 is 7,400.

Tata Motors Scholarship Program
This project serves students whose annual family income is below Rs. 1,50,000. Each eligible student was provided an annual scholarship of Rs. 4,000. The total number of students served during 2015-2024 is 1300+.
Persistent Foundation is the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of Persistent Systems, which is an Indian multinational technology services company. This initiative focuses on supporting students in mastering their Mathematics, English, and Science curricula, primarily benefiting students from the 8th to 10th grades. Established in Pune in 2014, it later expanded to work with 4 Ashram Schools in Nagpur, addressing the challenges of students who were falling behind. Additionally, a successful two-month program was conducted in partnership with the SATPUDA Foundation in the summer of 2024 to enhance the educational quality and efficiency of residential students. ‘Foundation and Numerical Literacy’ project in the Nira village of Baramati taluka, Pune district, Maharashtra, on 15th August 2022. Funded by Praj’s CSR initiative, SMM has been running this project for the past 8 months across three Ashram schools in Nira: Samata Ashram School, Utkarsha Ashram School, and Yashwantrao More Ashram School. Ashram schools are residential institutions that provide education up to the secondary level for children belonging to Scheduled Tribes (STs). This project aims to deliver quality education and enhance students' learning skills, with a primary focus on Marathi, English, and Mathematics. From 2022 to 2024, the project has successfully benefited over 1,600 students.
The Wada Program, operated by Suprabhat Mahila Mandal Pune in collaboration with Prayas Charlotte USA, has made significant strides in enhancing the educational and literacy levels of students and adults in the Wada Taluka. This project has been started in April 2024 focusing adult literacy, 3rd to 7th basic foundation of school student and School Dropouts 10th & 12th students. Total students enrolled in this project is 1,135 through different interventions.
This project was supported by World Network Services (WNS). This project ran during 2018-2020 and served students ranging in age from three to fourteen who live in Thite Vasti and Yerwada. The objective of the program is to improve the student’s reading ability. WNS provided a van and SMM provided story books and educational books. The van served Yerwada and Mundhwa and visited these communities on a weekly basis. The total number of beneficiaries during the years( 2018-2020) is 2,000.
Hutatma Rajguru is a school operated by Rayat Shikshan Sanstha in Pune’s Pandav Nagar. There were many struggling students in this school and before 2012, less than 60% of the students typically passed their 10th standard board examinations. With the help of a private donor from the California city of San Jose, SMM’s teachers developed a plan to improve the academic achievement of the students. Over the course of the ensuing three years, student achievement rose significantly. With the donor’s help, the school’s teachers were provided focused training. Now, more than 90% of the students consistently pass the board examination. The project ran for four years (2013-2018). Total number of beneficiaries during the years (2013- 2018) is 178.
Mahilashram School is located in Pune (on Karve Road). In response to a request from the school, SMM started a low-fee based program in 2018. Students are from pre-Primary to 10th standard. This project operated for two school years 2018-2020. The total number of beneficiaries during the years (2018-2020) is 167.

This project is run in the village of Pathardi in Thane district. It serves students in 1st -7th standard. We focus on helping students master their school curricula, with a special focus on reading, writing, and mathematics. . Starting in 2020, we are also conducting an adult literacy program in Pathardi. The total number of students served during 2019-2022 is 1,973. The total number of adults served is 300.
