This project is run in the village of Pathardi in Thane district. It serves students in 1st -7th standard. We focus on helping students master their school curricula, with a special focus on reading, writing, and mathematics. . Starting in 2020, we are also conducting an adult literacy program in Pathardi. The total number of students served during 2019-2022 is 1,973. The total number of adults served is 300.
This project serves students in 8th-10th standard. Its purpose is to support students attending government and private schools in mastering their school curricula. Special emphasis is placed on the study of Science, Mathematics, and English. The objective of this project is to help all children achieve their potential. To that end, we also try to identify promising students and provide them additional guidance. The total number of students served during 2015-2022 is 7,400.

This project was supported by World Network Services (WNS). This project ran during 2018-2020 and served students ranging in age from three to fourteen who live in Thite Vasti and Yerwada. The objective of the program is to improve the student’s reading ability. WNS provided a van and SMM provided story books and educational books. The van served Yerwada and Mundhwa and visited these communities on a weekly basis. The total number of beneficiaries during the years( 2018-2020) is 2,000.
Hutatma Rajguru is a school operated by Rayat Shikshan Sanstha in Pune’s Pandav Nagar. There were many struggling students in this school and before 2012, less than 60% of the students typically passed their 10th standard board examinations. With the help of a private donor from the California city of San Jose, SMM’s teachers developed a plan to improve the academic achievement of the students. Over the course of the ensuing three years, student achievement rose significantly. With the donor’s help, the school’s teachers were provided focused training. Now, more than 90% of the students consistently pass the board examination. The project ran for four years (2013-2018). Total number of beneficiaries during the years (2013- 2018) is 178.
Mahilashram School is located in Pune (on Karve Road). In response to a request from the school, SMM started a low-fee based program in 2018. Students are from pre-Primary to 10th standard. This project operated for two school years 2018-2020. The total number of beneficiaries during the years (2018-2020) is 167.
